Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal Form

This form is for students who want to appeal their financial aid status due to not meeting academic progress requirements.

You may lose financial aid if:

  • You didn’t meet the required 67% pace (the percentage of courses you need to successfully complete).
  • Your cumulative GPA is below 2.0.
  • You received a late or updated grade, or if you completed courses on your own to improve your GPA and pace.

Important: Appeals and all supporting documents must be submitted before the start of each term.

If your pace is below 67% and/or your GPA is below 2.0, you must first meet with an academic advisor to create an academic plan.

How to Appeal:

  1. Gather any documents that support your appeal (you can upload them with the form).
  2. Write a statement explaining why you didn’t meet the requirements (you can add this directly in the form).
    • If the issue is related to late or changed grades, you don’t need to meet with an advisor but make sure the grade change is reflected in your Self-Service account.
  3. Meet with a CCC academic advisor to create a 3-term academic plan.
